IVAN DOLAC, first settled in 15th century, is a typical Dalmatian village on the southern slopes of the Island Hvar, 10km from Jelsa, 20km from Stari Grad and 38km from the town of Hvar.
Its pebbly beaches are among the most beautiful on the island, ideal for children.
Ivan Dolac, Šuplja stina, Lučišće, Jagodna, Paklina and Petarčica are some of the best beaches on the island, making the south side of Hvar a very attractive destination, especially for those who want a quiet vacation, away from traffic jams and city rush. Here you will not find tourist buses, hotels, large shopping centers or loud discos!

Ivan Dolac offers excellent possibilities for swimming, diving, snorkeling, surfing, fishing, strolling along the shore for 2 km, walking and sightseeing (villages, towns, caves with Neolithic pottery), hiking the mountains (the highest peak, St. Nicholas, 628m), rock climbing, cycling, jogging, boccia playing, tennis, table-tennis, etc.

You can get on Hvar by ferry from Split to Stari Grad or from Drvenik to Sucuraj.
Ivan Dolac can be reached by car from the harbour Stari Grad or from Sucuraj towards Jelsa and Pitve and through the tunnel to Ivan Dolac.
You can also board the ferry in Ancona or Pescara to Split and then to Stari Grad.
